Trip to Italy

I wanted to start a travelogue of sorts for my October Italy trip. I'm starting with a map of where we'll be. Each marker contains a link to where we are staying. Three of the locations are countryside "agriturismos," each located on a working "farm." The farm may be a vinyard, olive grove, produce their own cheeses, grow fruits, etc.

We go from the airport in Rome (Fuimicino) in the following order:

Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink (not the most direct route, but we are vacationing before conference stops in Prato and Rome).

We've started having anxiety over things like the fuel/gas pumps. If they are only in Italian, it's hard to follow instructions. Off to Google them...

This is pretty exciting. My mouth is watering thinking about all of the yummy pasta you will be eating.

You are going to have such fun! But you may have to drink wine instead of beer...

The agriturismo places sound fascinating. I read on Swami's blog that you were thinking of going to a laundrmat in Italy. If possible, try to pack things that you can wash in the sink or even while you're showering, and hang up to dry. It's also a possibility that the agriturismo places will have a washer/dryer. When we travel, we each carry a different credit card so if one is lost or stolen, we still can use the other one.
