I have a hotel night to use by the end of the year, so we are doing a quickie to Minneapolis in a few weekends. We're staying near Mall of America, which has two LUSH stores! I haven't purchased any LUSH since last July in Chicago. Chris said he agrees that I deserve some LUSH holiday items. He wants to hit some flight simulator place there.
We'll also be hitting some brewpubs (surprise!) and a cupcake bakery. :-) I suspect we'll need to do some mall laps to make up for the calories.
In other cupcake news, my black forest cupcakes were not devoured at our friend's Oktoberfest party. They were very pretty, but there were four competing desserts and lots of other food. I came home with 10 leftover cupcakes. Oh well, yummy for us!
In random news, I forgot my jacket at a bar that's not so convenient to return to. It will have to wait until this weekend. Also, Puffy's DD had reasonably good weather for the wedding this weekend. Given the rest of the week, they had the best possible day.

I left my favorite brown leather jacket in a bar in Brisbane, Australia. Talk about not convenient to return. I'm still upset about it and it was about 6 years ago.
I loved that jacket. It was hip-length, chocolate brown smooth leather, fit like a blazer, and it had these wonderful pockets inside that had little zippers, so I used to put important things in there like my ID or hotel key or chap stick. (Yeah, chap stick.) I'd gotten it on sale at a crazy low price so I loved it extra-much.
Fortunately, when I lost it, the only thing in the pocket was the chap stick.
The cute boy at the Information desk at the convention center made a valiant effort to get it back for me but to no avail. So sad. I miss that jacket so much.

My lightweight $20 Target jacket only 30 minutes away seems so trivial now.
The Mall O is too big for me - I never go there. DD's BF still work in the Gamestop there very part-time, like one every couple of weeks so he can keep his employee discount.
I once left a beautiful black jacket in a St Paul Radisson bar at a Holiday party. It was never seen again, of course.
We sure did have the best possible day. I'll post about it over the weekend, probably.
