Night of Gluttony

*lays out fancy cheese tray from restaurant*

I'm not sure I'll be able to take the pressure tonight! I think I'll be pushing for the lobster tempura (provided it's not like $50) or the Salmon Bruschetta as my choice for appetizer.

For dinnner, I'll have Chris get a big steak so I can have a few bites. Then I'll get either the salmon or tuna. Lamb was also way up on my list *waves at Mystic*

For sides, I'm still torn. It will likely depend on what everyone else wants, since we're all open to sharing sides (I hear they are huge sides). I'm thinking Fleming's potaotes and season's best vegetables are high on my list. But that corn sounds delish, too. I'm looking for something I wouldn't make at home (I make grilled asparagus a lot and can't see how their version would differ much from mine).

For dessert, you are all convincing me I should go with the creme brulee. I like creme brulee.

I'll report back with a full belly and the scary total of our bill. Thank cod for the $150 gift certificate.

Yes, please do let us know about the prices. That way I can make sure I don't order anything too expensive when I'm out with all the big whigs. I would like to order a glass of wine when I go, but I would have no idea what to choose. *sigh*

I'm having salmon tonight. Michelle won't be home so I am allowed to cook fish. *grin*

(I hope you don't mind me poking in. I cruised over from Zombiebaby's blog.)

I love that you've put so much effort into planning your attack - it's something I would do! Everything sounds so delicious.

I know I didn't pop in early enough to cast a vote, so I'll just say that the chipotle mac & cheese sounds good. It's probably too heavy for a side but I wouldn't mind having that for MY dinner tonight!

Hi frodis! I always love a fellow food planner. I agree the mac & cheese sounds good. But yes, I could eat just THAT as a meal.

If you ever see restaurant listings in the paper and they have there menu listed do you check to see what you would get?

DH and I do that all the time. Even if we have no plans to go there.

MIght be one of the few things I like to plan ahead.

Why did Zombs ban me from her blog? I've always been really nice to her. *pout*

I told her what you said about her, Carey. Needless to say, she was piiiissed!

*giggle*

I bet Kim is digging into her appetizer right about now.

It all sounds soooo good. As a matter of fact, your blog piqued my appetite so much that I finally cooked actual food for dinner tonight.

I haven't felt like eating for the two weeks I've been sick, but I made a nice porterhouse and baked potato to split with dh, along with mushrooms sauteed with shallots in a white wine reduction, and broccoli on the side. Even had a fudge/walnut brownie and a piece of good colby cheese for dessert. :-)

Nowhere near as good as what you're having tonight. But, more actual food in one meal than I've eaten, overall, in 2 weeks.

I've lost 7 pounds, and not in a good way. Thanks for helping me re-find my appetite. I love good restaurants. Can't wait to hear what you decided on.
