Can't wait to see the recipes and see who you tag. They all sound yummy!
I? Drive to Wisconsin to buy squeaky fresh cheese curds. I am willing to drive a couple of hours in for good ones! I have a couple of favorite places.
Cheese curds eaten the same day that are created is a heavenly treat! DH used to work summers in a cheese factory so his standards for squeaky-fresh are very high. DD is also a cheese curd fanatic.
Please, Kim. *holds out bowl* May I have more?
Since you were willing to profess your love so eloquently, I will give you your own bag.
Bleh What is with the cheese curds? I don't even like cottage cheese What does one do with curds other than poot teen?
There is a special corner of hell reserved for curd haters.
In the olden days, my mother would take me and my sisters to the farmer's market. There was a refridgerated van at the end of the last row of stalls that sold cheese, made fresh and locally. Every now and again, Mom would get a bag of cheese curds for her special treat. She used to try to get us to eat them, but we wouldn't.
Now that I am older, I can appreciate my wisdom as a child.
I'll just be over here in hell with Zombs waiting for cool recipes.
*sits in corner with zombs*
Thinking of curds makes me barf a little.
Makes me think of turds. *grin* they rhyme.
*waits for the recipes*
*smooches the cheesehead*
*munches on some curds*
Are they crunchy?
Cheese curds are not "curds" in the way all you misinformed cheese curd haters are thinking. *points at Zombs, Seana & Breezy*
Cheese Curds are newborn nuggets of real cheese that have not yet been pressed into submission. They are little virgin cheeses who have never been touched. They are pure, fresh, unsullied and reallyreally squeaky!!!
If you buy a bag of so-called cheese curds in the grocery store (you know, the ones with an expiration date sometime in 2007) you are not eating real cheese curds. You are eating old chunks of cheese that the Kraft janitor swept up off the floor in the cheese packing warehouse.
*munches from her private bag that Weltek gave her*
There's a place north of here that makes the best cheese curds. Thornloe Cheese. Years ago when Dave was working in that area during the week, he'd bring me a bag of fresh cheese curds when he came home on Friday nights. Mmmmm!
Mmmmm! Those sound good.
And Kim, didn't your momma ever tell you it's not nice to be a tease?
Actually I did know what curds where. Still don't like them.
Should say were, and I know where to get them too. Still don't like them.
Now I have a craving for cheese curds!
